Shawn Vogen

Associate Vice President

Ask Shawn Vogen and he’ll tell you that the role of philanthropy is to accelerate research, improve health, increase access to education, and develop programs to support our communities. It’s no wonder then that his passion for philanthropy comes from partnering with BWF’s nonprofit clients to advance their individual missions.

Shawn brings his two decades of fundraising experience to BWF, where he works primarily with healthcare and higher education clients. Typical areas of focus for this fundraising veteran include corporate and foundation relations, strategic planning, organizational assessment, campaign planning, annual giving program planning, grateful patient program planning and counsel, and principal giving counsel.

Being part of an effort to secure initial support for a community outreach program to improve the health of underserved communities demonstrated the real impact of philanthropy. And building teams to advance the strategic priorities of an institution and advance the mission gives Shawn’s work purpose.

When not focused on client work, Shawn likes to ski, cook, travel, and hike.
