Becky Kennedy

Senior Director of Implementation Services

Becky Kennedy’s childhood dream was to work at a nonprofit. As the child of activists, her family’s activities were focused on helping people and their community. She has carried this passion into her now over 20-year career in higher education advancement where she has combined her love of technology with her dedication to service. She believes there is something special about people who work in support of others. Whether providing education, championing the arts, ensuring healthcare, or building community, these individuals share their expertise to make the world a better place.

As a senior director of implementation services at BWF, Becky applies her deep experience in development operations, technology, and data strategy in higher education to help institutions implement Slate and other CRMs. Her areas of focus include building documentation, training, gathering/refining requirements, creating and updating Slate elements, and supporting the team in any way possible.

The most effective technology doesn’t just store data; it translates a mission into measurable action. Unknown

Becky has been called a “hyper-volunteer” with leadership and service to many organizations that support elementary/high school, child welfare, women’s healthcare, athletics, and community resources. For her alma mater, she served as an athletics booster club board member, an annual giving volunteer, and an advisor for student activities. In addition, she is proudest of chairing a community initiative to successfully reopen her city’s public swimming pool.

Becky’s favorite pastimes include doing puzzles of all kinds, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and grown daughter.
