Tara Cook

Senior PMO Team Lead

Tara Cook is inspired by the gift of giving to others—looking beyond one’s own life, position, and struggles to work towards something larger and to make a difference in someone else’s life. She believes there is endless possibility to humanity’s growth and goodness and that working with mission-driven nonprofits is a way to keep moving that needle forward. Tara feels fortunate to be able to align her career with her personal values and give support to a broad range of clients who are making a difference in so many areas.

As a senior team lead at BWF on the PMO team, Tara uses a diligent, process-oriented approach to team collaboration to find successful, scalable solutions that bring order to complexity. She is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and internal processes, as well as leading a team of project managers and supporting the overall development of the PMO team at BWF.

Tara has volunteered as an early intervention partner parent, helping other parents navigate systems and find ideal solutions for their children. She has also volunteered as a parent-member of the committee to update the NYS Clinical Practice guidelines for Early Intervention for Autistic Children as well as many animal organizations that care for and find homes for pets.

In her free time, Tara enjoys finding quirky places to explore with her family, reading books, and learning how to embroider.
