FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: October 4, 2021
Minneapolis, Minn.—

In response to the needs of the philanthropic community and to round out our services as a comprehensive fundraising consulting firm, BWF is pleased to announce that it is bringing its communications work under a new Strategic Communications division.

Compelling communications is at the heart of successful nonprofit storytelling and key to raising more money. This expanded division will now be able provide the full complement of communications services clients need to support their fundraising efforts and drive their success. Jay Wilson joins the firm as senior vice president and will lead the new division.

Jay comes to BWF with 20+ years of experience in strategic marketing and communications. As a consultant, Jay worked with nonprofit and healthcare clients, and he worked in-house in communications positions at the University of South Florida Foundation, Florida Institute of Technology, and Troy University.

Beginning in 2019 when Director of Strategic Communications Carole Arwidson joined the firm, BWF has been providing not only case statement development but also campaign identity and communications; communications consulting, assessments, and planning; campaign and annual giving content and collateral development; and communications training. Our new division will now ensure we have an even broader range of services to offer, covering donor proposals/templates, advertising campaigns, annual reports, alumni magazines, website development, press releases, and much more.

“We are pleased to expand our philanthropy communications efforts and engage with our clients for more extensive communications-specific work,” exclaims Mark Marshall, President of Philanthropic Counsel. “BWF’s work to date with our client partners has seen such a positive impact in campaigns and annual fundraising. We are excited to see what continuing to invest in these areas will mean for our clients.”
