2019 has proven to be a transformational year for the global fundraising consultancy, BWF®. To meet the excitement, BWF is pleased to announce arts philanthropy pioneer Amy Lampi, healthcare fundraising veteran Shawn Vogen, and education development expert Nick Perlick.

Amy LampiAmy Lampi, showcased as the cover story of the August 2016 Chronicle of Philanthropy has been a force of change for the arts industry. Prior to Lampi’s influence, few arts organizations could dream of achieving the levels of sophistication and fundraising success with analytics. At BWF, Lampi will continue to grow BWF’s international arts sector and provide cross-sector service to the Texas region.

Additionally, Lampi has more than 18 years of fundraising experience in the performing arts, education and health care. As a development generalist, she has a wide range of experience from gift processing and database administration to major gifts and the management of a development team. As the director of development at Theatre Under The Stars, she oversaw all fundraising aspects of the theatre including board, individual, corporate and foundation giving; capital campaign and major gifts; special events; prospect research, development operations and gift processing.

Shawn VogenShawn Vogen, PhD, has spent his career in academic medicine in research and philanthropy. The healthcare segment of development continues to grow at a rapid pace as donors seek to transform research, education and patient care. As a longtime volunteer and leader for the Association of American Medical Colleges Group on Institutional Advancement, Vogen brings a uniquely comprehensive understanding of healthcare philanthropy. Strategies for principal giving, board giving, grateful patient programs, and integrated cross-departmental approaches continue to evolve, and Vogen is a proven guide for organizational evolution.

Prior to BWF, Vogen was associate vice president, trustee and principal giving at Rush University Medical Center. During his time there, he helped to cultivate and solicit some of the most influential gifts. Prior to Rush, Shawn spent 11 years at Loyola University Chicago serving as assistant vice president and associate dean for health sciences advancement, where he managed the fundraising, alumni relations, annual giving, corporate and foundation relations, and health science communication teams.

Vogen also served as director of corporate and foundation relations at Loyola University Health System and associate director of foundation relations in the Biological Sciences Division at the University of Chicago.

Nick PerlickHigher education continues to lead the philanthropic sector in campaign fundraising and high-net-worth solutions. Nick Perlick, an accomplished executive and former chief development officer, knows both the best practices and next practices which are paramount to sustained productivity. More importantly, Nick brings an authenticity and enthusiasm sure to motivate development programs and see the best in themselves.

With a breadth of experience in higher education, healthcare, and collegiate athletics, where he has led teams and campaigns ranging from $20 million to $2.5 billion, Perlick previously served Vanderbilt University as assistant vice chancellor, overseeing fundraising across VU’s undergraduate colleges and Commodore Athletics during the leadership phase of their campaign. Nick also served as the vice president for development and alumni relations and executive director of the foundation at Eastern Kentucky University where he launched the institution’s first $50 million campaign.

Throughout his career, Perlick has focused on building high performing teams and establishing organizations for enduring philanthropic success. He is especially passionate about exceptional board governance and volunteer leadership in philanthropy as well as the essential role of management and organizational culture to achieving fundraising success.
