Kate Russell

Katherine K. Russell is an associate vice president at BWF specializing in regular and annual giving programs. Kate’s focus is on direct communications, middle, and leadership annual giving programs, and helping clients grow their capacity and base support. Kate partners with organizations to develop approaches that build a pipeline for future leadership support. She also focuses on campaign readiness, feasibility studies, increasing meaningful volunteer engagement, and campaign communications.

Prior to consulting, Kate held development positions at St. Olaf College, The Blake School and, most recently, Macalester College. Her experience with a range of programs and constituents guides her approach with clients. Kate served as co-vice chair of the S.T.A.F.F. steering committee and has presented at CASE-NAIS. She graduated from Carleton College with a BA in political science and from Vanderbilt University with a Master of Theological Studies.
