Janet B. Cady is an executive partner of Bentz Whaley Flessner and has been a leader in healthcare philanthropy for more than 25 years. Her expertise encompasses board development and engagement, major gift and campaign strategy, foundation modeling, and executive coaching for chief development officers at complex medical systems.
Jan was founding president and led the Boston Children’s Hospital Trust from 1997-2011, increasing philanthropy from $13M to nearly $100M annually for this leading center for children’s healthcare and research. Previously Cady served as executive vice president of Children’s Hospital Foundation Milwaukee where she led another major turnaround, created a new foundation, and substantially grew philanthropic support. A trailblazer in hospital philanthropy, Cady is a frequent speaker at professional conferences including AHP and AFP national and regional conferences. Jan chaired the inaugural Children’s Hospital Institute for AHP and is former chair of the Woodmark Forum of 25 leading children’s hospitals.
