Brodie Remington joins BWF Philanthropic Consulting Team

MINNEAPOLIS, October 10, 2019—Josh Birkholz, CEO of the global fundraising consultancy Bentz Whaley Flessner (BWF), and Mark Marshall, President of Philanthropic Counsel, are excited to announce the addition of Brodie Remington as Executive Partner to its team of consulting professionals.

Remington brings more than 40 years of experience in advancement to BWF, including serving 25 years as the chief advancement officer at four institutions: the University of Oregon, Trinity College (CT), the University of Maryland, and Stevens Institute of Technology.   His career started at the University of Pennsylvania, where he worked as an annual giving officer, director of corporate and foundation relations, director of major gifts, and director of the $1 billion Campaign for Penn.

During his career, Remington oversaw the planning and execution of five campaigns, each surpassing its goal and securing a collective total exceeding $3 billion.  He has also played a pivotal role in institutional strategic planning, marketing and communications, board development, alumni relations, and budget management.

Prior to joining BWF, Remington also provided consulting services to a variety of institutions, including the University of Exeter, the University of Sydney, and Humanim, a human services organization. He has spoken before professional groups and organizations and served on the boards of the Hoboken Historical Museum, the Oregon Bach Festival, and the Cheshire Foundation.

Remington has been a panelist or presenter at numerous national and regional professional conferences, including CASE, AFP, the Independent College Fund of NJ, the University System of Maryland Board of Directors, Leadership Maryland, and the University of Exeter campaign board.  In addition, he has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland and the University of Pennsylvania.
