Thomas W. Grabau

Tom Grabau is a senior member of Bentz Whaley Flessner. He offers nearly 20 years of experience in institutional advancement, as well as an additional 10 years of experience in faculty leadership roles. His expertise includes strategic planning, campaign design and implementation, major gifts, volunteer engagement- including board development, constituent relations, development communications, digital strategy, and marketing.

Before serving as senior regional director for New York at Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Grabau served the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) as vice president for strategic initiatives and Nebraska Wesleyan University as both vice president for institutional advancement and an associate professor of history. He is the architect of the CASE Network, an online professional development and support for advancement professionals worldwide.

Dr. Grabau received his Doctorate in history from Indiana University. He holds a Master of Arts in history, also from Indiana University, and earned a Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University.
